Spider Vein Treatment

Our laser technology here at Lake Martin Vein & Laser Center treats many conditions, including spider veins. Treatment is ideal for those areas that can not be treated with sclerotherapy, such as the face. During treatment,  energy is applied to the veins, causing them to coagulate and shrink. Eventually, they will be absorbed by your body and disappear permanently.  Treatments are generally pain free and you are able to resume your normal activities immediately following treatment.

Laser skin tightening stimulates the collagen production and regeneration in the skin layers to turn over damaged skin cells and promote new collagen growth. This will in turn result in the reduction of fine lines.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser to target individual hair follicles and inhibit the growth of hair. This procedure is most effective for patients with dark hair. If you have white, grey, light blond, or even red hair, you may not be a candidate for this procedure. 

The number of treatments required to achieve the desired results vary by patient, but most experience a noticeable difference after approximately 5 or 6 treatments. The number can prolong the results, but you may consider treatments to maintain the results every six or twelve months.

  • What should patients expect following treatment?

    Immediately following treatment, the treated area may feel sunburned for the first day. By the second day minor sloughing may occur. Redness should start to fade by the third day and be easily covered with makeup by the fourth day.

  • Will anesthesia be administered?

    A topical anesthesia will be applied 30-45 minutes before the procedure.
